Burmese Temple Offering Bowl

A superb “stupa-form” example of this traditional vessel by which well-to-do families brought food offerings to the 4000+ temples and monasteries in Bagan, Myanmar.

This exquisite example, patterned with vermilion over black lacquer, is another of Nwe Ni’s pieces and the result of more than 9 months painstaking work by her family of skilled craftspeople.

65cms tall x 35 cms dia.
