Antique Tray/Table

Traditional Phoenician furniture piece.   Early C20th –  made by the Hassoun family and kept until now by the family.  A beautifully hand-chased copper tray, tinned and fitted with a hanger for wall storage when not in use.

The tray comes with folding legs, of contemporary make but in a traditional style, inlaid with mother-of-pearl as shown in the photograph.  Thus the tray converts to a table for the traditional Lebanese coffee service for honoured guests.
